What I’ve Learned About Creative Energy
Creativity isn’t just about inspiration. It’s about protecting the energy that allows inspiration to find you.

When I first started out, I believed that great work came from chaos. Tight deadlines, late nights, caffeine - that was the culture. And while that intensity produced results, it also burned through energy fast.
Working independently forced me to rebuild my creative rhythm. Without the noise of a full office, I noticed how much better ideas flow when I’m rested, focused, and not forcing inspiration. The best work often shows up quietly, when your mind has room to wander.
Creative energy is like a battery. Every project drains it a little, and every moment of curiosity or rest recharges it. If you ignore that balance, burnout sneaks up faster than you think.
Now, I work in seasons — moments of deep creation followed by deliberate pause. It’s not always easy, but it’s sustainable. Because creativity isn’t just what we make. It’s how we care for the part of ourselves that makes it possible.
